The Story of the Mansion
Archipel Mansion is a historic private house, located in the old neighbourhood of “Fraggomahalas” at the highest point of Fira, the island's capital. The original Mansion was built in the early 18th century and was completed, before 1830, by a monumental second floor, crowned by a characteristic triangular pediment. The Mansion, family owned for centuries, boasts a rich history.
The house has been reconstructed taking the form of a contemporary interpretation of the neo-classical style, which was popular amongst the affluent inhabitants of the island around the 19th century.
